About Laura’s Journey
Hi, I’m Laura!
I am so glad you are here. If you are anything like me, you know what you need to do to take better care of yourself, but finding the time and motivation can be tricky. That is what this site is all about.
As for me, I’m a wife and the mother of three daughters. I love my family more than anything, and I also know to serve them best I need to also be aware of what I need to thrive.
I’m an Enthusiast – Type 7 on the Enneagram (so that should tell you all you need to know about my constant desire to learn about everything).
My professional life has consisted of lots of time spent in marketing, project management, writing, and consulting. I love to write and have since I was young.
Coffee, chocolate, travel, movies, and books are my weaknesses – more on all of that in my Escape Pods (ideas for self-care).
My passion has always been providing hope to others and now I hope to do so through this blog and by delivering products that provide some form of relief to many of you. I’m enjoying the journey of this life and I hope you are too!
The perfect place to start on this site is here. I would love to connect with you and let you know when I add more resources to this site.

It can be easy to forget to include self-care at all, especially when you are stressed. Loveselfcare and the posts on this site are here to serve as a reminder to do the things you need to do for you. They are a reminder for us all to take better care of ourselves. Here you will find many articles on Self-Care, Personal Development and Relaxation.
I believe excellent self-care is possible in this day and age, you just have to schedule some time everyday for you and it will pay off in huge dividends in the quality of your home life and relationships. You have to take care of yourself to effectively take care of anyone else. This is the exact opposite of a “selfish” act.
You do not have to go it alone, tough it out, or generally be anything other than what you are. We all need some help now and again. Also, there is no shame in getting help either – I honestly have no idea where these ideas come from and I certainly hope they are soon to be a thing of the past. You deserve to feel good and not suffer, period.
